Who's in charge of this website?
Westbrook Pathways Inc., 1055 West Georgia Street, Suite 1500, Vancouver, BC V6E 3P3, Canada, owns and runs this site. We operate as an independent business. No school or government has a tie to us, and neither does IRCC, which is the federal immigration department.
Where the answers come from
- Schools: IRCC's own designated learning institution list, taken from the feed behind the DLI list page.
- Fields: IRCC's table of eligible CIP codes, checked against the classification in Statistics Canada's CIP Canada 2021.
- Rules: IRCC's PGWP pages, plus the study permit pages, with a link placed where each rule is used.
The checker's limits
Using IRCC's published rules, the checker reviews what you enter. The checker has no access to your transcripts, permit history or language results, so it cannot decide your application. That decision belongs to IRCC. An independent consultant you can reach at (855) 301-3151 can go through your own documents with you.
When I call, who answers?
Calls to (855) 301-3151 and messages from the question form on the checker page reach an independent immigration consultant who looks at your own case with you; we don't run that service ourselves. Before you pay anyone for immigration help, check that they hold a licence on the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants' public register, or that they are a lawyer in good standing with a provincial law society.
The number is toll-free. If the consultant offers paid help, you agree on it with them before any work starts, and that agreement is between you and them.
When you send the form, your name, email and message go to that consultant so they can reply. The privacy notice lists what is kept and for how long.
Refused, or a case the checker can't settle?
